cmuraglia 0 Posted November 22, 2005 Hello All, When I import .3DS objects in version 12 they are extremely small. I have to scale them up usually 30-40 times. The textures are then all off and then they need to be rescaled. It's quite difficult..Am I doing something wrong? Any help is greatly appreciated. Becky Quote Share this post Link to post

mike m oz 256 Posted November 22, 2005 The scale issue may just be a units issue - Before importing you should set the units in your VW file so that they match the units of the source 3DS file (if you know them). If you don't you may have to accept rescaling afterwards. For example you may need to scale by: - 25.4 (there are 25.4 mm in an inch) - 304.8 (there are 304.8 mm in a foot) - 1000 (there are 1000 mm in a metre) etc. [ 11-22-2005, 04:06 AM: Message edited by: mike m oz ] Quote Share this post Link to post
