object selection

Hello, Im wondering why when I click on an object in Vectorworks 2020 SP3.1 it does not show up in the OIP. It will if I drag select it but not if I click on it. This can be a simple 2d shape or a lighting device?

Clicking to select an object works for me on SP3.1.

 

Have you restarted VW and the computer?

 

When you click on an object does the object highlighting change to show it is selected? Does the OIP say No Selection? Or does it say the type of object but not display any other information?

Hi Pat,

 

I started to have this issue yesterday while working on my iMac. This morning I woke up and tried  my MacBook Pro and had the same problem after working on if for about 30 minutes. When I click on an object, it highlights but nothing is shown in the OIP? 

As of right now, Im back on the iMac and its working fine but it seems like a bug since I've had it happen on both computers?

I thought there had been some discussion on the forum a month or so ago and data not showing in the OIP, but I can't find it. I think the upgrade to SP3 was supposed to be the fix.

 

If the problem comes back I suggest that you contact Tech Support directly for their input.
