JoshJones2610
Hi All, Does anybody know of a way of producing and exploded axonometric drawing in vectorworks 2019? I am struggling to find any guidance online thus far. The image within the following link aims to communicate my intentions for the drawing. https://www.pinterest.co.uk/pin/422705115023729675/ Thanks Quote Link to comment
markdd
I think the best way to do this would be to build the model as normal, being very careful to be strategic with Classes and Layers. Then use Viewports to split up the various views. You would use Viewport Class and Layer visibilities to choose what each Viewport can show. A sheet Layer would probably be best, however you could have fun using design layer viewports to seperate the "layers" and then present the whole from different projections on a Sheet Layer Viewport. Good luck! Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
Previous discussion of similar question: You should also probably take a look at https://fitplot.it/vwplugins/xPlosion.html which is a VW plugin to generate exploded views. The last time I looked at it you had to be pretty careful about how you build the model, but I believe it has been substantially upgraded. Also, the author @Paolo is on the forum occasionally. E|FA
The best explanation I've seen of @markdd's description is a YouTube video by @JRA-Vectorworks-CAD, starting at about the 5 minute mark: 1 Quote Link to comment
