Focus Point Default Label Resource

Recommended Posts

More of a tip than a question: I've gone ahead and created a text style resource that I want to use for my Focus Points, however, when I create a new focus point, the text defaults to whatever the text tool used last. To change it so the default text style resource is the label I created, I just need to navigate to the text tool and select that new label resource as my text style. You cannot simply click your already made Focus Points and batch change the label resource unless you attached a label to it at insertion (or edit the 2D components one by one). Unless I'm missing something?

any file can be sa ver as a template. go to file>save as template

So, some folks have several, I try to keep one with my preferred tool settings. I just save over the old one as I modify. Then when I create a new doc I use the template.

The FP tool preferences opens a dialog and Default Class for the object is a choice from a drop-down menu. I also choose the Standard Hybrid or a custom hybrid so the 2D goes away in renderings.

I turn the class off on plots, the electricians do not need that info cluttering the drawing, but I want it on m copy of the plot

In the class definition, I have one called LX-FP Objects. I have a color assigned and a text style.

Once set up, I don't even think you need one floating around, save in the template file.
