psowers176
I copied my files to a CD but am unable to open them. I get the following error message: -61 No Write Permission Attempt To Open File - FSOPEN I don't know what this means. Does anyone know what I should do next? Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
You will need to copy the files from the CD to your hard drive. Then they ought to behave fine. Quote Link to comment
psowers176
Thank you, Peter, for the quick answer. I tried your method and it worked. Is there any was to save a file so that it can be opened directly from a CD? Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
It *might* work if you use a CDRW as opposed to a CDR, however I've never tried, so I can't be sure... My solution is a back up HD (very inexpensive in the grand scheme). I just plug it in and it goes zoom. I actually always keep an archive copy of all finished projects on CD. That way I can't make changes to the published version of the documents. If I ever need to go back and revise I just drag a copy onto to the HD and rename it (or at least change the date).
