Can someone explain why do I get color shifts?

I think it has to do with how the eyedropper is actually getting the color from the screen. Especially now that monitors are running with sub pixels and ultrahigh resolutions (Retina), the pixel the color of any pixel is not necessarily the color of the overall object.

The work around is to drag the color from the large sample to the little white boxes on the right to store the color and then use that to apply to the other object.

Or use the Vectorworks Eyedropper tool rather than the color picker version.

@Dave Donley Any insight on this?
