Custom Line type around corners

RyanG

Question

Ive tried searching and came up blank,  Im having an issue in Vectorworks with custom line types when poly lines make bends. It looks like VW is just repeating it based on spacing when making the custom line-type,  is there a way to have it avoid placing text corners? 1652358938_ScreenShot2020-04-02at3_25_26PM.thumb.png.eb4285461ff5d3a1db5b0a6cba3abf90.png

No, and it should be fixed.

We need (would like) the custom line to be aware enough to offest/omit elements at corners and to

to bend along curves.

You could try Decomposing the Line Type and moving the endpoints to taste

Or editing the offset of the text in the Geometry Settings, but while it will solve it for one case it wont for the next.

Not really.  You can breaking up the words into individual letters, but that can cause the letters to change orientation around corners within words.

Good idea,  unfortunately it had the same results.

I tried converting to a group,  it just becomes painful to manage on a large format single line drawing.   Im glad its not something I am missing though and is a issue.

Bonjour @DDD,

Best regards.
Edgar
