Vectorworks help & OS X 10.4.3 (safari bug?)

Recommended Posts

One issue I have found is that if you open help twice from VectorWorks (ie you have used it once, not closed it and then opened it from VW again) you get two 'sessions' of the help running and the second one will behave as Peter explained. Closing the second one (or quiting Safari and starting again) resolves the issue.

Annoying, but in my experience it does work.

Also, go to the Safari menu and select Clear Cache.

This is an issue with Safari that we are working wtih Apple to resolve.

Once you get the page to load, this information is actually on the first few pages of the help files.

We are aware of some Safari related problems which occur on some machines and not others. We are working with Apple and the vendors of our HTML help system to get these resolved.

Additionally, we do know that non-current versions of the Java runtime environment cause big problems for the help system. Check your system update status ans make sure you are current.

Firefox is our recommended alternative to Safari to get around these help problems.
