Anna Guzman
Hello, I am startin to poke around the new Georeferencing tool in 2020. Overall I'm a newbie in Vectorworks, but have been importing dwg files for a while now, and just selecting the "This file contains georeferenced geometry" checkbox in the import options. Is this all I have to do? I'm still not very familiar with the "internal origin" and "geolocate" options. Is there a quick tutorial on this somewhere I could check? Thanks!! Quote Link to comment
unearthed
Hi, I'm sure someone worthier than I will pop up soon but there's an ongoing discussion at: I use an older version of VW and for me the best workflow to get data into VW is to import it into QGIS first and export a dw\dxf from that. Saves a lot of thumb-twiddling and anguish. Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Tamsin Slatter Posted March 26, 2020 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted March 26, 2020 Hi Anna There are lovely new features in 2020, which mean that you will see different functionality to the version that @unearthed is using (although thanks for your help @unearthed!) Actually, your question is timely... I ran a webinar on this just last week, and I hope you will find it useful. You can access it within Vectorworks University, here. Enjoy! 1 Quote Link to comment
