Point Cloud not visible on section viewport

I am having trouble seeing point cloud on section viewport. it used to work fine in previous versions of VWs by just cutting section and making it render in OpenGL. but since 2019, 2020, I am getting a black crop box or something when I cut a section through point cloud. does anyone have the same problem and more importantly does any know how to resolve this??

@sram27 having the same problem and as a workaround I'm drawing a rectangle over the "clip" and turning that into my viewport.

 

Have you found the solution to the problem or is it a bug in the new version?

I like the idea of clipping, but when creating as built drawings I would like to use the section lines I already have to compare against the point cloud.......Previously using VW 2017 this was not an issue.  Just came back to VW and it doesn't work as before.
