surreal73
I'm Trying to figure out how to make dimensions on my drawings a different color upon creation. Is there a way to do this? Or do I have to change the color every time I use the dimension tool. Quote Link to comment
matto
There is a standard Class named "dimension" if you change the pen colour for this class and tick the "use at creation" box then all your dimensions should follow that colour from then on. Matt Quote Link to comment
DDDesign
I don't know about dashed lines, but I improve my readability by choosing a shade of grey for the dimensions. Quote Link to comment
Hugo
Hello. I would also like to know if it is possible to make witness lines in dashed style. I have a drawing with several dimensions and dashed witness lines would improve readability notoriously. Hugo Quote Link to comment
Jonathan Pickup
set your Dimension Class as Matt says. Then save your file as a Template. That way you have the same dimension settings in every file... Quote Link to comment
quigley
For multiple dimension styles in one drawing set up multiple dimension classes with different attributes. Also to have different dimension "standards" create a series of your own then just select the dimension and apply to them via Edit Objects. This is very handy for changing the gap from the entity to the witness for example. Quote Link to comment
