How do you create a circular array? I am getting  concentric circles rather than a radial array

2nd question - how do get say grey background behind the side bar menus without  getting the entire screen to go with a black background?

Thanks

David

For the circular array use Edit>Duplicate array (Ctrl-Shift-Alt-D in Windows, problably Cmd-Shift-Alt-D on Mac), select circular array in the dropdown and set the values you want in the dialog for the array you want to get (number of items, angle, rotate the items or not etc.)

For your 2nd question I'm not sure what you are trying to achieve, the default for the side bars is a light grey background regardless of the drawing background being white or black. Unless you are referring to something else.
