changes made in a drawing in design layer (1:1) won't show up when I view drawing in sheet layer (1:50).

im working in 1:1 but my sheet is set up to 1:50. Some of the changes I've made to a basic drawing I've downloaded won't show in sheet layers.

That is almost always a layer/class visibility issue in the viewport.

 

Probably the changes you made are in a class or layer not included in the viewport.

To expand on Michales comment.  The default is for new layers and classes to be invisible in viewports that have already been created. So if the objects you have drawn are in a layer or class that did not exists or was set to invisible when you created the viewport they won't show.

 

You can either click the Layers or Classes button in the OIP with the viewport selected to edit a single viewport, or you can use the Visibilities mode (button in upper right) of the Organization manager to see and control what layers and classes are visible in each viewport.

Just a thought - If it is none of the above, and the changes you have made are within symbols, it could be a result of symbol detail levels being switched automatically with the setting in Document Preferences.
