Benedick_Miller
I have noticed that Purge Coincident Duplicate Objects does not work for coincident Spotlight Truss and Lighting Fixtures. Vectorworks 2020 SP2.1 Spotlight with Braceworks. MacOS 10.15.3 (Catalina) Is there any way to do this for either object type? Is there a way to make this a feature request? Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee TomWhiteLight Posted February 10, 2020 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted February 10, 2020 hmm, I believe the coincident duplicate objects was really for geometry and does not work with plug in devices. In the example of a mother truss suspended over another truss object, then this would be legitimate. I guess coincident duplicate objects would need to check to make sure they had the same Z value to ensure a duplicate was present, In addition to this the coincident object selection would need to be able to ascertain which of the truss objects had legitimate loads attached and which one did not have loads attached. What you are looking for could probably be achieved with a marionette script. It might be too much to ask of the coincident objects tool. 1 Quote Link to comment

If anyone out there has an example of a script that might help me achieve this it would be much appreciated 😉 but I will certainly have a go myself. Benedick_Miller
PS - maybe the documentation for the purge tool could be updated to make it clearer that plugin objects/devices cannot be purged. Likewise maybe a note in the dialog would be helpful, as a reminder of the limitation. 1 Quote Link to comment
