bwarch
is there a way to create key commands in the vectorworks workspace for theindividual tools within a main tool. for example, i would like to have individual commands for the different cut/combine tools -(single object connect + dual object connect). any help would be appreciated. thanks, -drew Quote Link to comment
Jonathan Pickup
what you want is to create a hot key to a specific Mode of a tool. this is not possible as far as I know, but you can change modes by using the "U" key when you have a tooll selected. U - toggles the first mode group I - toggles the second mode group O - toggles the third mode group Quote Link to comment
bwarch
thanks jonathan, that helps quite a bit. i looked in my workspace for those commands, but could not find them - can they be modified? thanks, -drew Quote Link to comment
PeterT
Yes they can be modified. In the first pane of the Workspace Editor, choose the "Misc. Keys" tab. The Mode shortcuts can be modified from there. Quote Link to comment
jan15
And if you had a macro editor you could select both the tool and the mode with a single keystroke. One single keystroke for single object connect, and a different single keystroke for dual object connect. Quote Link to comment
