reference class attributes

is it possible to reference a class structure from one file to another? ie if there are several files to do with the same project (using only 2d cad) rather than having to update a particular class attribute in each file i want to update it onc.

If you create a symbol, with say a text object saying the classname and in that class, then keep that symbol in the master file. but place off page in each file.

then the class structure should update with the referencing this will take care of the class names, not sure how well it does for attributes.
