jcrock
I have just imported a Duravit sink and would like to know how to scale it to the plan I am working on. Grateful for any advice Thank you Jeremy Quote Link to comment
Guest Wes Gardner
@jcrock, I'll assume the sink came into Vectorworks as a symbol and is now in your Resource Manager? If so, when you place it in a design layer it should scale appropriately. If not you can use the Scale Objects command - Modify > Scale Objects. Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
To expand on Wes's comment. Usually you only need to scale objects that either came from an unscaled source (PDF, etc), or that were created in different units than you are using in the file. If you know a dimension of the object use the Symetic By Distance mode of the Scale Objects menu command to draw a "dimension" that will give you what that length is in your drawing. Then type in the New Distance field the correct length and units. Make sure the Entire Drawing check box is unchecked (or import into a blank document to scale and then move to your actual drawing). Scale Text should be checked or unchecked as appropriate. 1 Quote Link to comment
