rodolphesta
I'm trying to make a rule in my firewall (Eset) to allow the app remote. On MacOS Catalina, I tried to make a rule who accept TCP-UDP communication on local Network on port 8090 for all application. But it's not enough, the app constantly ask me to close all windows in VW. If I deactivate completely the firewall, it work. Somebody know the right configuration to do in a firewall? 0 Art V
What do you mean with "allow the app remote"? Do you mean you want to use VW on your Mac from a remote connection to your Mac, or is it an app other than VW that you are talking about and if yes, what app is that? Quote Link to comment
0 Vectorworks, Inc Employee inikolova Posted January 8, 2020 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted January 8, 2020 Hi @rodolphesta, As long as you have the main Vectorworks application set to accept incoming connections, everything should be working properly. If you are still having trouble connecting the Vectorworks Remote mobile app to Vectorworks, can you post a screenshot of the error that you are seeing? You can also email the screenshot directly to my email, if you prefer (inikolova@vectorworks.net). Best regards, Iskra Nikolova Quote Link to comment
0 rodolphesta
Thank you. I fix the problem when I set my firewall to ask autorisation for every connection and create a rule when the connection between the Remote app and VW show up. It was a bit long, but now it work. 1 Quote Link to comment

0 Art V
@inikolova Thanks for the link, I've heard about Vectorworks Remote before but from the original question it was not entirely clear if it was this or e.g. TeamViewer or some other similar program. 1 Quote Link to comment
