Dean
Why am I able to extrude a shape with exponential scale along a polyline or polygon drawn with bezier curves but not one with angular corners? And just out of curiosity, what's the difference between a polyline and a polygon? Quote Link to comment
islandmon
Extrude Along Path converts the path to a NURBS curve. According to the manual sect:917, "Profile objects cannot be non-planar,self-intersecting, or a mixture of 2D & 3D profiles." Therefore, angular NURBS must be self-intersecting and prohibited. Basically the difference is procedural. The Polyline tool allows for the sequential linking of segments of lines, vertexes, and arcs to form either an open or a closed polygon. The polygon tool does not allow linking of arc segments. However, a polygon may be composed of lines and arc segments. Quote Link to comment
