Daniel Dickman
I'm trying to change the color of all magenta text. I've changed the color of all classes with a magenta pen color but my Conn Panel Outputs and Data Terms are still labeled in magenta color. I've attempted to edit the sys symbols to see if I can change the text color there but no luck? Does anyone know how I can change the color of these labels? Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Nikolay Zhelyazkov Posted December 16, 2019 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted December 16, 2019 Hello @Daniel Dickman, Try modifying the dev_label symbols and then change the Device's symbol and then restore it to the previous one. This should force the application of the class and symbol changes. Let me know if this does not work. Best Regards, Nikolay Zhelyazkov Quote Link to comment
Daniel Dickman
@Nikolay Zhelyazkov Just getting back around to this.. Refreshing the device's symbol via the OIP does force the device to apply the color via the class, but it changes the text size of the device. This poses a problem specifically for how jackfield objects appear. Edited February 29, 2020 by Daniel-D Quote Link to comment

Vectorworks, Inc Employee Nikolay Zhelyazkov Posted March 9, 2020 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted March 9, 2020 Hello @Daniel Dickman, The symbol displayed in the OIP for the jackfields and term panels is not correct. You have to modify the symbols VJX_label and TP_label and you will see the changes to your objects. Best Regards, Nikolay Zhelyazkov 1 Quote Link to comment
Daniel Dickman
@Nikolay Zhelyazkov That did the tirck. I set the VJX_label and TP_label symbols to reference the color set by the class. What is the purpose for the symbol drop down in the OIP for these devices? VJX_label and TP_Label aren't listed as options in that symbol drop down of the OIP. It is set to dev_label_center by default when you create these devices. Quote Link to comment

As a workaround, if you duplicate the VJX_label and TB_label symbols and make them to have prefixes "dev_label_" you will be able to select the new symbols in the OIP too. Quote Link to comment
