Tanner Shelton
Is there a hotkey to toggle between open gl and wireframe? And to toggle between orthogonal and normal perspective? I find myself switching between these all of the time and it is cumbersome to use the dropdown menus. Also, is there a way to change those hotkeys to a secondary button I have on my mouse? fabrica
you can customise the workspace and change/add your own personal hot keys - not sure about the mouse button options... Quote Link to comment
Boh
Command Shortcut keys are displayed in the menus next to the command name. Hover over tool icons to see their shortcut keys. Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
Default for Open GL is Command (Mac) or Control (Win) G. Wireframe is Command/Ctrl W. The projection (orthogonal/perspective) settings do not have key command equivalent in the default workplaces, but you could use the workspace editor and add them. These are also available from the quick prefs at the right end of the Mode Bar. Click on the disclosure triangle and put a check mark next to the ones you want to display. 1 Quote Link to comment
mhersland
Hi @Pat Stanford Opening this old thread, as I find your answer interesting. I am trying to do just what is mentioned above. However in Vectorworks 2024, i don't seem to be able to edit shortcuts individually. It selects the whole category. Is this a feature? And how do I then access the specific menu point? See attached screenshot of what happens when I select a feature. Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
Certain categories of menu items are considered "chunks" and you can't give items in the chunk an individual keystroke. For most of them, you could make a script and convert that to a menu command you could add to your workspace and give a keystroke to. Quote Link to comment
Elite Exhibits
@mhersland In the Workspace Editor (as you show above) - Click on a single line - just below is the location to enter a keyboard equivalent - Shortcut for Selected Command Peter Workspace Edit_1.pdf Edited February 21 by Elite Exhibits Typo ! 1 Quote Link to comment
mhersland
Thanks a lot @Pat Stanford and @Elite Exhibits. It worked, after some clicking in the fields. It seems like the GUI has some untraditional behavior.. But might just be me experiencing that.. Quote Link to comment
