antonf26
I made a detailed viewport of a section on my planting plan. I've now been trying to create a plant report on all the plants within that detailed viewport but I can't seem to get it. What criteria do I have to set on the report to get that specific area? Vectorworks, Inc Employee Tamsin Slatter Posted November 14, 2019 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted November 14, 2019 Put the plants for that area on their own design layer. Edit the worksheet, and edit the criteria (right-click on the row header with the diamond symbol). Click more choices to add another selection criteria that filters the report to Layer = <Layer on which the plants are sitting>. Alternatively, On the design layer, draw a polyline around the plants in question (make sure it is large enough to include any tags that are displayed as part of the plants). On the Object Info palette, at the bottom, there is a Name field. Give your polyline a friendly name. Edit the worksheet criteria (as described above) and add a filter for Location IS WITHIN <Friendly Polyline Name> 4 Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee bgoff Posted November 22, 2019 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted November 22, 2019 you can draw a poly line around the plants in that area(ensure that those plants are not "Attached" to plants outside of that shape. Then in the OIP at the bottom, name that shape. Then in the worksheet set criteria to "Location>is within> NAME OF SHAPE". This will include only those items within the bounding box. 1 Quote Link to comment
