markdd
Looking at your file, the rotation of the instruments is technically correct. I think that perhaps you may be misunderstanding the way the LIghting Tool uses the rotation axes. The rotation axes refer to the rotation axes of the instrument inside the symbol and not necessarily the Axes on the current layer plane. This is logical but not necessarily helpful to you right now. Your issue where the rotation of the Top/Plan view does not necessarily align with the flipped 3D object has been addressed in Version 2020 with the addition of the Custom Plan Rotaton check box, which will allow you to rotate the 2D portion independently of the 3D portion. I've added some Axis markers to one of the instrument symbols to help explain what is going on..... I hope that's helpful. added axes.vwx Edited October 31, 2019 by markdd Quote Link to comment

When the VW20 downgrade to older version ( I tested with vw16). the floor light's Z axes are not correct. I checked Set 3D Orientation. X Rotation is 180. forum_Test.vwx forum_Test_v2016.vwx Quote Link to comment
markdd
It appears you have discovered a bug! The Y rotation of the Lighting Device does not seem to work and the value entered is applied to the X rotation field instead. I'll report it as a bug. 1 Quote Link to comment
