Is there a way in vector work to be able create a pdf file and then be able to email it.

Depending on the Vectorworks version and if you are using Mac or Win, you will be able to click on File>export or Save as PDF.

I have spotlight , and Mac. I do use save as a pdf, but lets say I save it as a PDF, it goes into a folder then I have to go to my email and drag the file into my email. 

I want to try to email it without dragging it.

Like if theres a way to make it like save as PDF and email at the same time ?

I just found out how , thank you.Theres a option called Email PDF, which just makes pdf and sends it . 😄

@josue Corona Hi if you cant find it you will probably need to hit the customise tab and pull the export PDF over to your menue.

The Email PDF is a function of the Mac operating system and printer drivers. It gives different results than the VW Export to PDF menu command.

 

I believe that Export to PDF creates a vector based PDF that includes all of the layer information and can be manipulated in other programs. The Print to PDF (Email PDF) option creates a flattened PDF. This is fine if all you need is for the recipient to be able to view/print the file. It is not so good if they need to do more with it.

When you export a PDF you have the option to rasterize the pdf which converts it to a Bitmap which avoids the problem of converting it back to lines by using other programs,
