Christiaan
How do people go about naming their Sheets in accordance with ISO 19650/BS 1192? In the attached examples there are a number of codes before the drawing number and then descriptive text after the drawing number. The only way I can see to make this work is to include all the codes in the Sheet Number and then the descriptive text in the Sheet Title. Is that what you do? The other little issue is this. ISO 19650 requires that no spaces are used in file names, but that means we end up with this kind of thing in our title blocks. Any thoughts? Smasl
Hi, I was wondering if there is any update on this thread? We are trying to adopt the ISO 19650 naming convention with the title block manager. Quote Link to comment
Christiaan
Hi Smasl, our title blocks look like this: Each field code is separately linked to a title block record format: And this allows us to fill them out in the Title Block Border Settings: 1 Quote Link to comment
Christiaan
We tend to avoid adding the sheet title to our file names if we can help it. When using a manual filing system we prefer to identify groups of drawings by sub-folder name instead. See here: (when we do add the sheet title to a file name we just use spaces rather than underscores) Quote Link to comment
shorter
@Christiaan The sheet number simply needs to be the n digits sequential/logical number at the end (e.g. 120100). The rest of the titlesheet should contain the fields required, and in conjunction with dynamic text fields in the titlesheet, and the publish command, generate the full ISO19650 document number by concatenation. 1 Quote Link to comment
