milezee
Hello Forum, using the Reshape tool on various shapes to put radii on corners, doesn't work on rectangles or squares, no handles appear like they do with other shapes, screenshot attached of shapes that work and rectangle that doesn't. Works fine with other shapes, just not rectangles!! Is this intended, a bug ?? Quote Link to comment
RussU
it's been like that forever. I tend to do a quick decompose->compose and then you can reshape. 1 Quote Link to comment
TKA
use "convert to polygon" 2 Quote Link to comment
milezee
@RussU thanks for confirming Russ, thought it was me being basic for a while there. I guess it's a bug that for some reason won't be fixed Quote Link to comment
milezee
@TKA yeh that works too 👍, definitely a step you shouldn't have to take though, should just work like any other shape 🤔 Quote Link to comment
RussU
I think there's something unique about "Rectangles" (as opposed to 4-sided polygons) and that's why they stay as rectangles, rather than a poly.... but I can't remember what exactly that is. 1 Quote Link to comment
halfcoupler
For rounding edges on rectangles you can also use the fillet tool. For me the fillet tool seems to work quicker, never knew it could be done this way ... But anyway, a bug is a bug is a bug ... 😉 1 Quote Link to comment
milezee
@halfcouple yeh fillet tool works too, rectangles and squares must be 'special' 🤣, its one those 1st world problems that make you scratch your head 🤔😂 Quote Link to comment
mac@stairworks
Have you tried using the rounded rectangle tool? 1 Quote Link to comment
milezee
@mac@stairworks yeh it's ok for some things, 👍 Quote Link to comment
Ross Harris
Add convert to polygon to your right click menu - makes it a super quick job. 2 Quote Link to comment
