Aaron Cananzi
I'm after a set of symbols for spanset wrapping around truss sections in different patterns. Any leads? Quote Link to comment
scottmoore
They are not particularly difficult to make. I have mine set up for various size trusses rugged high, low and inverted. Quote Link to comment
Aaron Cananzi
I've been using vectorworks at a very basic level for a while now and I'm just beginning to delve into what it's capable of. How would you suggest I go about creating these? Edited October 15, 2019 by Aaron Cananzi Quote Link to comment
scottmoore
I would start with setting your view to a side elevation. I am still a big believer in keeping polygon counts low to speed up rendering so I create mine as fairly simple polygons and then extrude them 2” or so. Basically, the width of a spanset. Mine are all hybrid symbols that include a tiny circle with cross hairs to get the spanset installed correctly and then a bit of text explaining how high to raise the hoist to above the truss to make it appear correct. 2 Quote Link to comment
