Problem with 'locked' Project Files and Dropbox?

Question

Got to work this morning and we're finding we can't do anything with any of our Project Sharing files. If we try to edit a Working File we're getting the attached message. Same message in v2019 or v2020, macOS 10.14 or 10.15, which makes me think it's a Dropbox issue.

Is anybody else experiencing this? We've had to convert them to standard vwx files to continue working on them for now.

We're getting this too, across projects.  Something must've changed on DB. This is is potentially catastrophic.

Thanks,

Jeff

I’m looking into this now. Was tour Dropbox client upgraded over the weekend?

Unsure. I didn't explicitly update anything, but I'm not sure if dropbox does it automatically.

I'm currently running v82.4.155 on MacOS 10.14.  Most other users are on 10.13.

Another user did re--download and install dropbox while troubleshooting and is having the problem.

Thanks,

Jeff

Seeing the same thing here with SP1 and Mac OS 10.14 and 10.15.  Dropbox did update their client recently and it auto-pushed to all our users. Running Dropbox client v82.4.155.

This problem should be fixed now. Users should be able to use Project Sharing with Dropbox, Box, etc.

We are testing Project Sharing via Dropbox (using LAN sync)

When we try to 'share' our VWX file into VWXP Project file, we get the following error.

Is anyone else getting this?

I just tried PS and Dropbox on my end here, and everything works correctly. I do not see any problems.

Hi @Tolu
I can't figure out what the issue is then.
- Are you on a Mac (we are)
- Do you begin with VWX and then 'share' while the VWX is inside the dropbox?
Once we 'share' and get the above error message with 'unmarking'. We get a zero KB VWXP file (per post above)
