Eoin R
We are having an odd problem with dimensions. When we create them they look fine but on printing out the drawing the numerical display has been compressed down to a single digit. ie what should read as 4500 is labelled as 4. As well as the compression of the number the numbers have also moved to be offset on the line and not in the centre of the dimension string as specified. Has anybody else come across this and have any ideas how to sort it out? Thanks John Ryan CPR Architects Quote Link to comment
Eoin R
Oh. I should have added that this is not a printing issue. The compressed dimension is what we see in the Vectorworks file. Quote Link to comment
Guest
Does the problem appear after the file is printed for the first time, or after the file is printed in each session of VW ? Quote Link to comment
Delmer
Check your Page>Unit settings Quote Link to comment
Eoin R
Katie - The problem appears to be unrelated to printing as we notice the change in the dimensions as we are drawing in the file. Tow other things to note: 1. The compressed numerical is not a single number but all the numbers compressed and overlayed on top of each other. 2. This change does not affect all dimension. It is a random effect Delmer - The Page Units seem fine unless we are missing something Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Bruce Ferguson Posted July 1, 2005 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted July 1, 2005 John, Please send me a file showing this problem. Also please tell me what version of VW you are running and what your OS is. Quote Link to comment
Steve K (Leeds)
John Are you drawing at 1:1 and using viewports to give the appropriate scale? It seems to be that VW doesn't like text any larger than 500mm (18 inches) high. Quote Link to comment
Eoin R
Steve The problem seems to have gone away since we upgraded to Version12. Regarding scale we usually set the layers to 1:100 or 1:50. Thanks for your advice on this. John Ryan Quote Link to comment
