Guest BillV
I have created a few grass textures. In the attached image the grass texture creates some annoying horizontal shoots. The higher the density the more shoots I get. In a planter box for ornamental grasses this looks kind strange! I have included a screen shot of my settings for the texture Is this a bug or a new type of grass - Herba Vectorworkus perhaps ! Any help here would be welcome. Quote Link to comment
Markvl
Are you using a solid to apply the texture to? In the case of your box I'd assume 6 sides no matter how "thin" it is. This is why you see grass coming out of the sides. Try a 3D poly if this is the case. 2 Quote Link to comment
Guest BillV
Thanks for the advice. Applying to a 3d Poly solves the issue. Quote Link to comment
SeanR
To remove the horizontal shoots from a solid do the following:- - in the objects render tab - under part - 'Overall' apply a texture that has just a colour only under part - 'Top' apply the grass texture. You should then get the grass growing upwards only. 1 Quote Link to comment
