Symbol consolidation

Is there a way to consolidate the symbol count for a parts breakdown on the sheet layout.

Click on one of the little dropdown menu items at the top of the columns in the database row and check “summarise”. 

All the rows that have the same cell entry in that column will collapse into one row. 

Other cells in the collapsed row which have different cell entries in their respective columns will show a “-“. You can also summarise these columns.

Is there a way to count the rows that end up being summarized?

Create a new column. In the header cell type "=count". The number of summarized rows will show in this column.
