Auto hide floating palettes

LeeElston

Question

I don't have the above feature in the Window>palettes menu in the workspace I have migrated from VW2019 to VW2020. I seem to recall in the past I hade to remove persoanl workspace to get the BIM option to show, but can't recall how to do this...

I have looked in the 'Edit current Workspace' feature and looked for the 'Auto hide floating palettes' in the 'menus' tab but it isn't under the 'palettes' command where I would expect it to be...

Any suggestions appreciated

I don't think there is a program wide setting for this. I think it has to be done on a palette by palette basis.

Floating palettes have two buttons in the upper left. The X to close the palette and a + or minus to tell you the autohide state.

When the Autohide button is a + the palette remains open at all times

When is is a - the palette will autohide when the cursor is not over the palette.
