Green Border appears around Viewport

I have posted this in a very old thread but think that this might not get seen so:

 

I have the issue of a green border around my viewport in a screen layer. This appeared when I ticked the 'Add reference crop object option' but when I untick this the green border is still there. I have tried to delete this in the design layer, as mentioned in the earlier thread, but it is not there.

 

How can I get rid of this annoying thing?

When you double-click a viewport and choose to go to a design layer, you have the box checked to Add a Reference Crop Object. Uncheck that, and it won't create the green rectangle.

i have unchecked that tick box but it has no effect, the green border is still there,

After unchecking the Add a Reference Crop Object as @Tamsin Slatter suggested then you have to manually delete the green boxes from the Design Layer.

Good point - didn't go far enough with my explanation, sorry! Unchecking the box will stop any green boxes being created in future. Thanks Juan!

 

(The green boxes can be useful to help you create a key plan if you have many cropped viewports of a large site. That's what they are for.)

Thanks both, but I have already tried that and there were no green borders evident in the design layer. So I just deleted the viewport and re-did it, making sure not the check the offending edit box.
