Allen Brown 16 Posted September 10, 2019 ... on sheet layer viewport, unchecking Use Colors in Background Render works intermittently in Mac Mojave 10.14.6. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
0 Andy Broomell 1,026 Posted September 11, 2019 I'm still on High Sierra: I'm finding that once a Viewport is created, toggling either "Use Textures" or "Use Colors" under OpenGL Background Render settings seems to have no effect; the viewport just keeps rendering with the settings it had when it was created. If I want a white model viewport I have to make sure it's set that way before making the viewport... This is the first substantial bug I've seen in 2020 that severely interrupts workflow. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
0 Andy Broomell 1,026 Posted September 12, 2019 (edited) Update: OpenGL viewports seem to randomly switch between rendering with color and without every few times I update them... And not even consistently across a sheet. Very frustrating. Edited September 18, 2019 by Andy Broomell 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
0 Andre Mandel 1 Posted September 18, 2019 Same here. Causing me hours of production time revising viewports to hidden line over renderworks. All my models are set up with openGL viewports. Quote Share this post Link to post

0 JuanP 969 Posted September 18, 2019 Good news - Our R&D team is working on fixing this issue in a future SP. In the meantime. I've attached a file which has a workaround for this issue. If you double-click the "TurnOffVPDuplicates" script in this file, this problem will be resolved. The "TurnOnVPDuplicates" script will make this issue show up again. Because if the patch name, must have something to do with that. Quote Share this post Link to post
0 Andy Broomell 1,026 Posted September 23, 2019 BTW it seems this script has to be run every time the file is re-opened. Quote Share this post Link to post

I also found that if you go into the viewport, design layer (or camera) and edit the render settings there, then back out again to sheet view, the correct render settings are applied. But we look forward to vWorks fixing this in a more official manner. Best, 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
0 Andy Broomell 1,026 Posted October 21, 2019 Will this be fixed in SP2? It's still a problem in SP1, and even with the workaround is a pain in the butt. I shouldn't have to think about this 10 times a day... 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

0 drelARCH 49 Posted October 23, 2019 Yes, I am having myself some issues with open GL...if I uncheck 'Use Colors' in Render Settings most time it will not take effect after VP update. It seem to me that it behave randomly... Please FIX it soon! Pavol Quote Share this post Link to post
0 MartynHowes 2 Posted January 21, 2020 Hi, we are having this same problem with VW2020 after SP2. The annoying thing is that the problem persists when saved back to a VW2019 file and there is seemingly no way to fix this. This has now affected around 10 of our most recent projects which is hugely frustrating. Furthermore I tried to download the workaround above and the link is no longer active. Is everyone else still having this problem and is there something that can be done about it? Martyn Quote Share this post Link to post
0 JuanP 969 Posted January 21, 2020 @MartynHowes I verified and this issue was fixed in 2020SP2. If you are still experiencing the same issue please contact our tech@vectorworks.net please? 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
