Delmer
I have the odd hatch that, when viewed in the hatch edit dialog, is zoomed way out (oftentimes 12.5%) and hence takes up to 5 seconds to redraw before allowing any edit operation. I can of course zoom back to 100% but it won't be saved at that factor upon exit. The scales are set to 1 and it doesn't affect the scale of the hatch on the drawing, is just a minor nuisance. Anyone know if/how this zoom factor can be saved? Quote Link to comment
islandmon
Very interesting Dr. Watson ... very interesting .. I have imported Acad hatches that are zoomed 8500% and require lots of tweeking with units & page scale & world scale to get them to perform properly... sometimes I just give up and move on. Vectorworks, Inc Employee Bruce Ferguson Posted June 3, 2005 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted June 3, 2005 Delmer, You can't set directly what zoom the hatch will be at when the edit dialog comes up. Changing the offset distance for the first level in the hatch should affect it. The idea behind the initial zoom is that when you edit the hatch, you won't have a real sparse or real dense looking hatch when it comes up. If some levels have a much different offset distance than the first level, it may not give a good result. Quote Link to comment
Delmer
Thank Bruce. It sure helps to know the logic behind it. I should be able to change the offset and then add another layer to replace it if need be. Quote Link to comment
