Victor S
Hi Guys, could some one please explain the opacity and transparancy in VW? Lets say I have some buildings on site I want to show at 50% opacity? The buildings are created with extrusions. The opacity should be shown in 3d and some of the viewports(and only for a particular building, not the whole viewport)TEST.vwxTEST.vwx but not on my 2d floor plans? Another situation would be the joinery. In some of the projects I have to show the joinery with a 30-50 % opacity to focus on the architecture. Obviously joinery objects have different classes, however is there a way to set all classes to a certian opacity level? thank you 1 Quote Link to comment
Kevin Allen
Sounds like the extrusions would need a transparent texture applied. For the joinery, you might need a second texture and a Class override to use the transparent text in the Viewport. Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
I believe Opacity is only for 2D objects (lines, circles, arcs, rectangles, polys, etc.). Transparency is part of the Texture and Kevin's comments above are correct. 1 Quote Link to comment
barkest
You can also use the transparency shader on the texture. Of course this would apply to all objects with that texture so you would duplicate the original and remove the transparency. 2 Quote Link to comment
