How do I delete unwanted custom template .sta Files

SCDesign

Question

Hi there,

I am fairly new to Vectorworks. I am setting up my custom templates in version 2019. This had been a process and after a couple of attempts, I have settled on what I need going forward.

I would like to delete the unwanted custom templates. When I access the Vectorworks Preferences - User Folders -  Libraries - Defaults - Templates, I see my unwanted templates however they are greyed out and can't be deleted. There must be another way in... Please help.

Welcome to the forum.

If you really have finished creating your template file, you might be the first in the history of Vectorworks to create a template and stop messing with it. 😜

You are looking in the right place.  I wonder if the account you are logged into on your computer doesn't have permission to delete files in Application Support.

Thank you for the welcome.  And yes I am sure there will be further variations on templates. So true.

Good thought

As a Mac user, I went in a different direction through Finder - Go - Go to Folder and entered ~/Library/Application Support.

And was able to delete.

Thanks for your help. Very happy
