Administrator Popular Post JuanP Posted August 13, 2019 Administrator Popular Post Share Posted August 13, 2019 For this week’s #TeaserTuesday, we’re excited to show you a new feature that will empower you to make informed design decisions. With live data visualization, you can use data to define graphic attributes — say, for example, you want to classify walls, walkways, and doors according to fire code standards. You can set the walls’ colors so you have a visual reminder of what’s appended to the wall: restrictions, criteria, parameters, etc. Data visualization first appeared in Vectorworks 2017, but back then it was confined to viewports. 2020 brings data to the forefront: right in the design layer where you make your design decisions. It’s a live working environment where you can accurately discern the impact of your data, an addition that goes a long way in designing intelligently. This feature is a useful new way to make design changes and see their impact immediately — creating an all-together proactive design environment. 13 7 Quote Link to comment

Matt Overton
Does this mean the Data interface will be fixed and maybe surfaced up the primary interface? It's kind of like Hey look new tools to visualise... still the same old bad interface that people don't really get or keep forgetting about and is so shy it even hides if you go looking for it. 1 Quote Link to comment
Lunar Waneshaft
Thank you! Looks much better organized than the old Spotlight way of forcing this. Can't wait to use this with dark mode! Quote Link to comment

Andrew Davies
This does look like a useful addition. I just hope it is well implemented and baked into the application. I can see some uses for this - though (for me) only if the display of symbols can be affected. Looks like some improvements to the object info palette too maybe? Collapsible sections? That may save us USD $10K on a solibri licence lol. But Nemestchek wouldn't do their own Solibri out of business by giving us Clash Detection in VW, will they? Quote Link to comment

Alexey Trebukhin
Is there any chance to have the same colours for the symbols in "Instrument Summary Tool" or "Position Summary" as it was assigned in Data Visualisation? It could be really useful! 🙂 2 Quote Link to comment
elepp
Hi, to my knowledge at the moment, it's only possible to have a legend showing the colors automaticly on the sheet layer, but not in combination with a colored symbol. Maybe a wish for 2021? 1 Quote Link to comment
