Lynda
Numerous times I have needed to escape a long rendering time - usually when I've clicked on something I shouldn't. I've pressed the escape key and every other key I can think of that works in other programs. Is there any way of doing this in VW. I use Renderworks a lot so this is pretty vital! I work on Windows 2000. Quote Link to comment
Kevin
I find that you need to have patience. It can take over 30 seconds of holding down the appropriate key for the program to respond and quit. Quote Link to comment
APE Design Ctr
Lynda, if I hold down my Apple and my decimal key, it works for me, and it halts almost immediately despite of the file size. I realize you are on PC, however try your CTRL/. or ALT/. Quote Link to comment
Lynda
Thanks for the quick response, but what is the appropriate key for Windows? Quote Link to comment

Guest
Lynda, The esc key works for this. The program may not immediately stop rendering - it has to complete the thread it's currently processing before it will quit. Like another person said, it can save several seconds before it stops.
