And here's the cake (soon to be smothered in chocolate icing and raspberries...)! That cake may be the best rendered model I've seen here . . . . nice work! 1 1 Quote Link to comment
Micel
Hi Dave, Yep, it's bumped up to 500%....thankfully I'm now starting to get the effect I was looking for. Cheers Quote Link to comment
nlands
Hi All! I'm new to Glow and just read through this thread. Super helpful but I've still got a problem that I'm hoping is an easy solve I'm trying to render a PMS202 (HEX 5B1F1E) with a Glow Texture but it's coming out Pink -- BOTTOM in the image below. I was able to do a workaround by putting a Glow Texture behind the red letters in the TOP image but it's still not what I want -- is there a way to make the dark red look like it's either neon or backlit? Kevin Allen
In the top image. Change the texture to a backlit shader. Leave the glow as us and see what that does. Some fiddling will be required. Quote Link to comment
nlands
I'll give it a try! Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Luis M Ruiz Posted April 9, 2022 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted April 9, 2022 Just for inspiration. Here is a sample of an interior rendering using only glowing textures. 2 Quote Link to comment
mjm
@Luis M RuizDang! Very informative indeed. Did not know that was possible to such an extent. Did you have to push the glow amount way past 11? 1 Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Luis M Ruiz Posted April 9, 2022 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted April 9, 2022 Plenty of settings allow you to go past 100. Here is another fun use of glow texture. 2 Quote Link to comment
