ESC key not functioning correctly

My escape key is not reliably canceling drafting operations. The only way I can, for example, cancel drafting a polyline is to switch to another tool and then back to the polyline tool to begin drafting again. This is significantly impacting the speed at which I can draft. I am unable to replicate this issue in 2018 and seem to be only a 2019 issue.

I remember that ESC should also cancel a Render in progress?

I can't stop a render with ESC ESC or Contro-.

@I will I When you are getting this result with the ESC key, are other shortcuts working for you in the program?

 

@Ethan R. ESC should be able to cancel a rendering on the design layer; however, the state of the rendering process may come into play. If you open a simple file, are you able to successfully use the ESC key to cancel the rendering there? In case you are trying this on the sheet layer, you will need to use the Cancel Update button in the object info palette.

I think I tracked this down. Enabling Esc Esc to exit groups and symbols somehow breaks the other functionality of the Esc key.
