Freelance Architectural draftsmen

Harry Hunt Architects (HHA), an award-winning design firm specializing in residential green architecture seeks a part-time, freelance draftsperson to support our growing practice. The ideal candidate will have Vectorworks-specific architectural drafting experience in a variety of residential project types. The ability to work from schematic design to design development and all the way through to the production of a complete set of architectural construction drawings with details is essential. Knowledge of light-frame wood construction methodologies will be helpful. Familiarity/enthusiasm for Passive House principles will be appreciated.

 

While the ability to meet deadlines with accuracy is absolutely necessary, the candidate otherwise has the flexibility to make his or her own schedule. Completed drawings must align with HHA quality standards.

 

HHA is a well-established practice planning for growth and looking for talented individuals that can help the company move forward. This project-based work may transition to part/full-time employment.

 

Requirements

 

·       a computer and Vectorworks 2019 software

·       minimum 2 years experience drafting architectural construction drawings

·       minimum 2 year experience using Vectorworks in a BIM workflow

·       solid construction background

·       strong communication skills

·       ability to listen well and take direction
