Quit not responding

2019 on New MacBook - I have to "force quit" every time I quit. I get the spinning color wheel and Vectorworks Not Responding in force quit menu. I have left it for an hour. It does not quit.

How can I fix this?

@Tmorgan What operating system are you on? Also, are you up to date with Service Pack 4?

Mohave 10.14.5 and yes VWX SP4 currently up to date. build 490894

Did you move the location of your User Preferences folder? Do you have any workgroup folders or a custom workspace?

I am not that knowledgable to know why I would move folders. It is a new machine. I do some project share and some not. I use Spotlight workspace. I save projects to DBX.

Hi, Just to add to this after such a long time. I'm on windows 10 and this has happened to 2019 sp1 sp2 sp3 sp4 sp5. It's left not responding and required end task.

 

@Tmorgan Our IT has almost everything locked down. No admin access and behind a company proxy server. I'm wondering if you are in the same boat and it's something like this causing the issue? Maybe it trys to access the internet or a protected folder?

 

Just thinking outside the box 🙂
