jfmarch Posted April 28, 2005 Share Posted April 28, 2005 that does not sounmd right. could you elaborate a litte? are you saying you create a symbol in file A, copy and paste into object library, then import the symbol into file B? if its a symbol it should come in the same size, unless it being placed on a viewport... Chris Batchelor Posted April 28, 2005 Author Share Posted April 28, 2005 I draw an item to inch scale so the item is 1" square, then I tell it to create symbol and it adds it to the resource panel... Then when I try to add it to a drawing, say 1/4" scale, it is 10x bigger than it is supposed to be... Quote Link to comment
Jonathan Pickup Posted April 28, 2005 Share Posted April 28, 2005 Chris, this doesn?t sound right. VectorWorks symbols always retain their real world sizes. For example if you draw a rectangle 1? square on a layer that is 1:1 and make it into a symbol, then use this symbol in a layer that is ? scale, it should stay at 1?, although it will look smaller...
