Vectorworks license - buy

My 2010 AppleMac Pro is dead, and I do not have the license for my 2008 Vectorworks (Architect).  I am looking to replace both.  I know the cost for a new computer, and a new VW license, though I am interested in options, such as an older, but reliable computer (prefer less than 5 year old Apple laptop), and possibly an older VW version, similar age or less.

 

Asking if this is plausible, possible pitfalls, and costs.
