Roof pitch assistance

Recommended Posts

Our roof has been specified by our architect to have a 22.5 degree pitch which is relatively low for a slate tile roof but the roof pitch / height is limited as close to neighbour.

Our builder has informed us that he wants to make the pitch now 20 or 20.5 degrees. How much difference is this in roof height in Millimeters ?

is there anyone that could please assist us as I think the intended ceiling will already be quite low even without a 2 or 2.5 degree change

Any assistance or advice would be appreciated. Thank you

@niknakHi would you not just draw a horizontal line in VW then a line at 22.5Deg. the vertical at the end would give you the height. then do same for another pitch. Unless i am missing the question.

It will depend on how long your roof is.

Alan described the easiest way to do it.

Over a 10 meter horizontal run, the difference in the clearance under the roof will be about 500mm.
