Constrained line dimension tool in symbol problem

I have a symbol which uses the constrained line dimension tool to display distance horizontally and vertically on my screen. The symbol when being edited displays correctly. However, when I put the symbol into a drawing, the vertical dimensions do not have the line to indicate their start point and end point. All horizontal lines do though.

This file is being worked on in 10.51, if I open the file in 11.5 the problem is resolved. Unfortunately I need to get this working in Vectorworks 10.
