DCA Design
A call for help from the Vectorworks Community. We work in AutoCAD (due to our clients 3rd party needs) and have been provided with a Vectorworks file for the existing conditions of a 2 storey house. As a minimum I need to convert the file to extract a floor plan for each of the 2 levels. If possible, i would also like to extract exterior elevations. If any kind soul is willing to assist, we would greatly appreciate it. I am unable to upload the 150mb file on this forum, but have provided a Dropbox link following https://www.dropbox.com/s/tm2zarmr25b0yox/Avalon%20Current.vwx?dl=0 David - DCA Design - Melbourne, Australia Quote Link to comment
michaelk
Looks like the upload failed. Try it again or use the built in forum uploader. Quote Link to comment
Art V
Yes the upload is either extremely slow or failing too over here. Quote Link to comment
DCA Design
Avalon Current.vwxAvalon Current.vwxAvalon Current.rar Thank you all for your replies. I managed to upload the file in zipped form, as the original seemed a bit too large for the upload system and kept failing. Hopefully this will be better and you may be able to assist me further. Many thanks in advance. David - DCA Design - Melbourne, Australia Quote Link to comment
michaelk
That didn't work either. 😖 I get a "We could not locate the item you are trying to view" page. Error code 2S328/1 1 Quote Link to comment
DCA Design
Thanks for your patience michaelk. I'm struggling to get the file upload to work properly, but have given it another try. Fingers crossed that this time works ok. David Avalon Current.rar Quote Link to comment
michaelk
David Bingo. Not sure why it didn't want to load. It's not that big. This should unzip into two folders. One is the .dwg of the sheet layers (Paper Space) and the other folder contains the .dwgs of the design layers (Model Space). Avalon.zip 1 Quote Link to comment
DCA Design
Thank You michaelk. That worked perfectly. You have helped me enormously. Please let me know if ever you need an AutoCAD or Revit favour in return. I owe you. Kind regards David Cooke - DCA Design Quote Link to comment
