Jim Smith Posted March 18, 2005 Share Posted March 18, 2005 Workgroup references ROCK! Perhaps everybody knows about this but I stumbled across it last week and it has saved me hours! I get many files from AutoCab users; when I import these files many times METABITES of unsued classes and layers also tag along for the ride. This can take hours to purge & clean up but then it hit me; open a new file called IMPORT & import the info from the AutoCab file; open the drawing I want to use the AutoCab info in; then WORKGROUP REFERENCE the required layers from IMPORT and MAGIC ! No useless layers and classes! Thank you Vectorworks! (now if I can only get the hang of Veiw ports I'll be laughing!) Quote Link to comment
