Overlapping rectangles and line type display

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Is there a way to remedy the following: Copied rectangles with overlapping edges won't display the line type correctly. The lines become messed up since the run of the line type advances with every copy of the rectangle (why?). Please see attached.

This prevents using anything else than solid line for rectangles with edges touching.

Edit: This seems to be particular to the stock ISO linetypes - others seem to work. Working in mm.

I have never figured out a solution except to convert to lines and delete the overlapping lines.

Me neither. I convert to polygon and hide the edges with reshape tool.

Thanks for the comments.

This ought to fixable, no? Then run of the linetype works with eg. vw dashed line, but for some reason not with ISO linetypes.

This is very basic functionality in a CAD program, proper display of line types.
